Right of Withdrawal & Refunds

This Withdrawal Policy applies to the paid services of Bernards Akademie (subscriptions, access passes, and credit balances/credits).

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below for this purpose, although this is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments we have received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement. The reversal is processed via our payment service provider Paddle (see below).

Please note: our paid services are digital content or digital services that are provided immediately after purchase.

• Services (e.g. immediate access): The right of withdrawal expires if we have fully performed the service and only began performance after you gave your express consent and at the same time confirmed your awareness that you lose your right of withdrawal upon full performance of the contract (§ 356 Abs. 4 BGB).
• Digital content (e.g. crediting of credits): The right of withdrawal expires if we have begun performance and you (1) expressly consented to us beginning performance before the expiry of the withdrawal period, and (2) confirmed your awareness that by giving your consent you lose your right of withdrawal upon the commencement of performance, and (3) we have provided you with a confirmation of the contract (§ 356 Abs. 5 BGB).

Specifically: before the purchase of an access pass or a credit package, we obtain in the checkout your express consent to immediate provision as well as your acknowledgement of the expiry of the right of withdrawal. Performance begins with the immediate activation of access or the crediting of the credits.

You may also declare your withdrawal informally — this form is an offer, not an obligation. What matters is that your decision to withdraw is unambiguous and reaches us within the deadline.

The sale and payment processing are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd. (Judd House, 18–29 Mora Street, London EC1V 8BT, United Kingdom), which acts as the seller (Merchant of Record). Refunds — whether on the basis of an effective withdrawal or as a goodwill gesture — are processed via Paddle to the originally used means of payment. Please direct inquiries to bonn@bernards-akademie.de; you may additionally contact Paddle's support.

Irrespective of your statutory right of withdrawal: if you are dissatisfied with a paid service, write to us within 14 days at bonn@bernards-akademie.de. We will look for a fair solution in a straightforward manner (e.g. pro-rata refund of unused credits). Consumed credits and access periods already used are excluded from this goodwill policy.
